Good afternoon, we are pleased to provide you with an update on the progress of our recent activities. In the past few weeks, we have completed several important tasks, including the Auto de-sludge pipework, ducting and duct chambers, and commenced the auto de-sludge slab.  We have also completed the access track to the storm tank, including kerbs, and the footpaths for MCC, along with regrading the ground.

We have several planned activities for the coming month, including the installation of MCC and wash water kiosk with metalwork and MCC panel. We will also be completing the auto de-sludge area, installing penstocks, and benching the inlet works, including wall construction at screen 2.

Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to make progress onsite.

Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin

Good morning all,

Quick update before we break up for Christmas.

The poor weather conditions over the last week or so have affected progress made with the MCC (Motor Control Centre) this month. All the formwork for the MCC base has been prepared for the concrete pour in the New Year, which was originally planned for this side of Christmas.

The palisade fencing is now fully installed, as Paul mentioned in his last post this will dull down over time.

The construction work on site will close down today and restart in the New Year on 3rd January 2023.

On behalf of the Project Team, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Thanks

Sarah

Update by Paul Davison

Good morning,

It’s a cold frosty start this morning but we can’t grumble given we’re nearly into December.

We are continuing to make good progress on site, and as Sarah shared at the last update, the concrete access road and new screen handling slab is complete and we are currenting installing the new section of security fencing. The galvanised steel palisade fence is a little shiny at the moment but it will soon weather and dull down, however, we’ll be re-planting hedging behind the fence in the Spring so in time, the new section will blend in with the existing fence.

We’ve also started to construct the base slab and cable trench for our new MCC (Motor Control Centre) panel and kiosk which will power and control all of the new plant and equipment we will be installing later in the project. With the base slab construction ongoing, we’re hoping to take delivery and install the kiosk just before the Christmas which will allow us to start preparing for electrical work in the new year.

I’ve added a few photos below for interest.

Regards

Good afternoon since my last update work has progressed as planned.

The construction of the new road is complete and the drainage and service pipe work to the wash press installed, the concrete pour took place earlier this week on the road and wash press. The wash press is part of the screening process that removes large objects that may block or damage equipment or pollute our rivers. This includes items that should never have been put down the drain, such as nappies, wet wipes, sanitary items and cotton buds, and sometimes even things like bricks, bottles and rags.

There are some pictures below of the different stages of the process.

Other tasks complete within this time have included the re-grading of the land an installation at the sock stock proof fencing.

Over the next four weeks we plan to carry out installation of the palisade fencing, the mechanical install on the wash press equipment and installation of the stock proof fencing.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your patience during this time, and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Thanks

Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin

Good afternoon, my name is Sarah Parvin, I'm the customer Liaison officer for JN Bentley, the supply partner delivering the work on behalf of Northumbrian Water.

We have a great team working here at Lynemouth. There's Jason our Contract Manager, Keith the Site Manager and Marc the Engineer.

Work has been progressing well since we started on site 15th August. All the work is situated within NWG grounds, so we don't envisage any disruption to locals.

To date, we have completed the welfare and compound area, carried out trial holes to locate existing services, removed fencing and replaced with temporary herras fencing and carried out preparation work for the new road. This will allow installation of new equipment in the current roads location. I have included some pictures below to show you the progress we are making involving the construction of the new roadway and preparation for the construction of the washpress slab.

Over the next 4 weeks we plan to carry out the construction of the new road, washpress slab, the installation of the new fence line and regrading of some of the land.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your patience during this time, and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Thanks

Sarah
