GENERAL PROJECT

Lynemouth Sewage Treatment Works Upgrade

We are investing over £3 million to improve storm and preliminary treatment at Lynemouth sewage treatment works to improve the quality of effluent discharging to Lyneburn and meet the demands of an increasing population in the wider catchment. Our sewage treatment works aid NWL in improving the quality of rivers and coastal waters for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife.

Update by Sarah Jayne Parvin

Good afternoon, we are pleased to provide you with an update on the progress of our recent activities. In the past few weeks, we have completed several important tasks, including the Auto de-sludge pipework, ducting and duct chambers, and commenced the auto de-sludge slab.  We have also completed the access track to the storm tank, including kerbs, and the footpaths for MCC, along with regrading the ground.

We have several planned activities for the coming month, including the installation of MCC and wash water kiosk with metalwork and MCC panel. We will also be completing the auto de-sludge area, installing penstocks, and benching the inlet works, including wall construction at screen 2.

Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to make progress onsite.
