Lynemouth Sewage Treatment Works Upgrade

We are investing over £3 million to improve storm and preliminary treatment at Lynemouth sewage treatment works to improve the quality of effluent discharging to Lyneburn and meet the demands of an increasing population in the wider catchment. Our sewage treatment works aid NWL in improving the quality of rivers and coastal waters for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife.

I hope you're all well?

Since our last update, work has continued to progress well on site. The MCC Kiosk and internal panels have successfully been installed. The wash water kiosk has been installed and the pipework and connections to the wash water kiosk will be carried out in the upcoming weeks. The electrical work to site is now underway, along with the benching works to the inlet channel 1.

Completed work since our last update is as follows:
- Auto de-sludge pipework
- Cresswell Flowmeter pipework
- Wall thickener for screen 2
- Benching to inlet channel 2
