GENERAL PROJECT

Lynemouth Sewage Treatment Works Upgrade

We are investing over £3 million to improve storm and preliminary treatment at Lynemouth sewage treatment works to improve the quality of effluent discharging to Lyneburn and meet the demands of an increasing population in the wider catchment. Our sewage treatment works aid NWL in improving the quality of rivers and coastal waters for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife.

Update by Gabrielle Ward

Good afternoon,

I hope you're all well.

Work is progressing well on site. As mentioned in our last update the auto de-sludge pipework & benching work is now complete. The team have carried out the landscaping, access track and kerbs to the entrance of the auto de-sludge. The access track to the storm tank has also be constructed.

The pulling of the electrical cables around site have been complete.

In the upcoming weeks, upgrade works to the existing MCC Kiosk will be taking place along with the power supply to the new MCC Kiosk. The glanding and testing works can then be carried out. The washpress launder, pipework and screens will also be installed.

As always, I have included some photos for you to view.

If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment below.
