Good Morning,

I thought I show you some activity currently taking place yesterday on both the Pumping Station site and in the field adjacent. A great example of two companies working collaboratively.

Northumbrian Water at the Pumping station and us Mott MacDonald Bentley in the field.

Good Morning,

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas.

The team are back as I'm sure you have noticed and I'd thought just to let you know there will be a fare bit of activity in the coming weeks.

Next Tuesday 18th January we will be putting a new pump in bay 5 and 1st February a new pump in bay 1 at the pumping station . This will include the delivery and use of the large crane we have used previously so the traffic management will be introduced on those days. We will of course try to keep our impact to a minimum however inevitably there will be some disruption to the traffic flow during those days so please be vigilant.

Between now and the end of February we will be making plans to use the Wylam PS too whilst our work continues, so watch this space for further updates.

Thank you again for your understanding.

Wishing you all good wishes for 2022.

The lads have worked exceptionally hard this year and welcome the break.

We have enjoyed working in this lovely region and thank you for allowing us to do some community work in the villages and will see you next year.

Good Morning All,

Hope you are keeping safe and well in this crazy weather.

Just to let you know a crawler crane will be delivered today/tomorrow and will remain in our car park for a few days so please be a little more vigilant if you are in the area. The crane is required to assist the cleaning of the screens at the RWPS. This work will be conducted by the Esh Group, another framework partner of Northumbrian Water.

This work is likely to continue into the weekend and I know Esh will keep the potential inconvenience to a minimum and will complete the work as soon as possible.

Thank you all again for your co-operation and understanding.

Stay safe

Good Morning,

You will have noticed some traffic lights on adjacent to the caravan park, these are in connection with the works MMB are also conducting on behalf of NWL but from the Horsely site. They will remain until tomorrow so please be a little more vigilant if you are driving through Ovingham Road, I also notice the local council have some lights on toward Wylam village so again please take care.

By the way we have started doing some community work in and are currently working on updating some park benches from Wylam...........watch this space for the photos.

Thanks

Joan

Good Morning All,

I am guessing you will have noticed the lack of work down by the pumping station, don't be too alarmed our team are just temporarily working elsewhere within the network to ensure we assist Northumbrian Water to provide you with great water.

Everything has been locked up and security in place and the guys will return in a few weeks (October) to continue with the planned programme of work.

We will keep you informed as to the exact date of our return, in the meanwhile thanks again for your co-operation.

Just to keep you all in the loop, we have started back on site this week so you will have seen some activity and the crane is back.

Also we will be introducing some Traffic Light Management mid November but I will update you as to the exact dates and duration in due course.

Oh, and it looks as though we will be doing some community work within the villages of Ovingham and Wylam so ............watch this space.

Good Morning,

Hope you are all keeping well.

Once again we have Traffic Lights on this week (should be removed by Friday) for safety reasons and they shouldn't really cause too much of an inconvenience as they will only be manually controlled when we bring in the big crane for the installlation of the new pump later in the week.

On top of the pumping station roof you will see two new kiosks which will become a permanent fixture this week for the new controls for the pumps and down at the sub station the team are progressing with new ventilation systems being installed for the control panels.

I understand the village has some up and coming events during the next month or two, I will probably "gate crash" one or two of them haha, please feel free to say hello (socially distance of course).

Stay safe,

Joan
