Project updates

Update by Joan Tatters

Good Morning All

Hope you are enjoying this lovely weather!

It was a long day for everyone involved last Wednesday here is the first of two pumps taken out ready for the new Bedford pump to be installed in the coming weeks.

The pump itself was huge and the team work from everyone involved was great to see.

Afternoon,

I know its short notice, apologies for that.................

Tomorrow we will be introducing traffic lights adjacent to the compound just for a couple of days whilst we install the first pump into the pumping station.

The lights will be removed Thursday so not too long of an inconvenience.

Thanks for your understanding.

Good Morning,

Hope you enjoyed the Bank Holiday and the lovely weather we are experiencing.

Sadly this isn't a very pleasant post.................

Steve, sent me these photos to let you know of the fly tipping currently happening in the area, its so sad and frustruating too, why oh why!!!!!

I thought to let you know and we have decided to retrieve the piles of rubbish and put it in our skips to remove safely.

Good Morning,

A short but sweet update:-

As you can see we have taken delivery of the crane this week and the traffic lights have been removed.

The crane is huge isn't it! There will be a river survey happening today, I hope to get some photos in the next day or so for the next update.

We have erected a small sign just explaining the work should you happen to be walking by.

Good Afternoon All,

I'm guessing you will have noticed by now the compound is taking shape and the haul road is starting to appear. Car parking bays have been created for the team and the security fencing is now in place to allow the Anglers access for fishing.

From Monday 19th April for one week we will introducing  2way temporary traffic lights commencing at the compound entrance and ending at the pumping station. This is so we can construct a new chamber in the grass verge as part of the refurbishment programme.

Advance notices will be displayed along the highway so if you are driving please take care.

Always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Good Afternoon,

Just thought I'd share some photos with you after my visit to the compound this morning............

It was lovely speaking to some of the local residents and fishermen this morning who were obviously taking advantage of the great weather.

James and the team are making progress with introducing the haul road. As the deliveries are starting to happen that little more often at the moment please take care. Once everything is set up they will only happen as and when we need them as the project continues.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and please feel free to drop me a line if you wish to ask anything.

Good Morning,

Just a short update, next week from15th will be the introduction of the traffic lights, they will be in operation for 2weeks whilst the team finish setting up the site. This is only for that short period of time to allow vehicle and plant access and to create the haul road to the pumping station.

Again please remember the lay-by on the top road will not be available as our welfare cabin will be located in that space.

Thank you again for you patience we appreciate it.
