Rosehill Road, Willington Quay

Northumbrian Water is looking to improve the resilience and enhance the performance of the sewer network in the Willington catchment. We are proposing the construction of a new sewer overflow at the rear of Marina View, this work will be undertaken within the fenced off compound with site access taken from Rosehill Road. We will also be increasing the size of short sections of the existing sewer within Rosehill Road.

Hi Everyone

At this risk of repeating ourselves, we are continuing to make good progress on site, although I appreciate that from the outside it may not seem like much is changing! The road closure on Rosehill Road remains in place and will continue until Christmas, by which time we will reinstate and open the road. We still need to complete the drainage installation in Rosehill Road, however work on the CSO is going well.

Hopefully, I'll be able to update with may accurate timescale expections after I visit site next week, so I'll keep you informed
