Northumbrian Water is looking to improve the resilience and enhance the performance of the sewer network in the Willington catchment. We are proposing the construction of a new sewer overflow at the rear of Marina View, this work will be undertaken within the fenced off compound with site access taken from Rosehill Road. We will also be increasing the size of short sections of the existing sewer within Rosehill Road.
LOOKING AFTER THE ENVIRONMENT IS ONE OF OUR TOP PRIORITIES. AS PART OF THIS COMMITMENT WE ARE DEVELOPING A PROPOSAL TO ENSURE THAT OUR SEWER NETWORK CONTINUES TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY EFFECTIVELY WHILST IMPROVING THE ENVIRONMENT THAT WE ALL WANT TO PROTECT.
Over the coming months we will investigate options to address environmental risk. This project will improve the performance of the sewer network, as the project develops we will share our ideas with you to understand your views about this work and how we can minimise any disruption that you and your community may experience once the construction work is underway.
