Project updates

Update by Joan Tatters

Good Morning,

I just thought I'd take this opportunity to thank the residents of Linden Avenue for their co-operation on Monday afternoon.

Richard Johnston (Project Manager from Northumbrian Water) and I visited some of you regarding the pending work on the reservoirs.

Our visits were in response to the Customer Event we held in the FAR,  we listened to your concerns, proposals and great ideas regarding the access to

our site and we thought we would discuss the outcomes personally.

Thank you for your in put and hospitality.

I will be visiting the site on a regular basis so please feel free to come and see me.

Update by Joan Tatters

Hello Everyone,

Just to let you know the work we started on the 17th is now complete, all has gone well and by close of play today

we will be off site. I do hope it hasn't been too much of an inconvenience for you.

I'm sure you aware there are some further works to be conducted at the reservoir so either Kevin or myself will be in touch keeping

you in the loop as to it's progress.

Thanks again for your patience.

Update by Joan Tatters

Good Afternoon

I just thought I'd take the time to introduce myself, I am Joan Tatters the Customer Service contact for Mott MacDonald Bentley

who, on behalf of Northumbrian Water will be conducting the work at the reservoir.

My colleague Kevin McGargle is the Site Manager for the project and together we are here to help you should you require any assistance during this project.

You probably are aware the work is rather significant and before we can commence the work at the reservoir we are required to conduct some investigations on the site.

These investigations will start on Monday 17th October so you will notice some construction machinery and the possibility of a little more noise than normal.

We will do all we can to minimise any disruption for you during this time.

Update by Richard Johnston

Hi everyone,

I’m Richard Johnston, Northumbrian Water’s Project Manager for the work we are planning to carry out in your area.

We will be investing £2.2 million to improve the water supply in the west end of Newcastle and this will involve carrying out maintenance to one of our reservoir tanks in Fenham.

I hope to see you at our customer information event on Monday 12 September between 4.00pm and 7.00pm at the Fenham Association of Residents Community Centre, 40-46 Acanthus Avenue, NE4 9YD to speak with you about our plans.

We really want to understand your views about this essential work and how we can minimise any disruption you and your community may experience. You can post here on our Community Portal, tweet us @nwater_care or call our Customer Contact Centre on 0345 717 1100. Whichever way is best, we’d really like to hear from you.
