Project updates

Update by Anthony Birkett

Hi Everyone

I know we finished our work in your area quite some time ago, but we will be back next week!

We need to return to complete landscaping remedial works so you may notice some of our guys around.

In the grassed area between Laburnum Road and Primrose Crescent we will be doing some remedial works for 2/3 days from Tuesday 23 April 2019.

In Roker Park we will also be doing some work in what used to be the Rose Garden where we will basically do some tidying and re-seeding. This will also take 2/3 days.

We don't expect this work to impact on nearby residents.

From week commencing 6 May 2019 we will then return to St Peters where we will carry out a repair on the tank and also remove a fence.

If you have any questions please get in touch.

Thanks

Tony

Hi Everyone

I visited Roker Park with the site team yesterday and was hugely impressed with how the reinstatements are going. We are well on the way to completing the area that used to be The Rose Garden. As planned, we've created a meandernig swale through the garden with a similarly meandering path intersecting it - it looks great! At the moment, the soil looks a little barren, but the seed will soon cultivate and create a lovely green and colourful place.

You may remember we took part in a Roses Dig with Ceed in the Rose Garden some time ago and I took some photos of that. I have attached them to remind you how the garden looked and I've also attached a few photos that I took yesterday to compare, so you can see just how much of an improvement it is.

Great work by all involved!

Hi Everyone

Please be careful in the weather over the weekend! Some of the conditions are still difficult in places and will continue to be for a little while yet!

Take Care

Hi Everyone

We briefly return to your area next week. We need to return to carry out remedial reinstatements along Roker Baths Road between Tuesday 20 February -Thursday 22 February 2018. This will require four way traffic lights which will move long the road as we progress.

Ann and I were pounding the streets delivering letters informing all local address yesterday. A copy of that letter is here.

Thank you in advance for you patience and understanding.

**GREAT NEWS!!**

We finally finished all the roadworks on Roker Baths Road!

Its been a long journey and we've come across many unexpected surprises, but we have now completed the final reinstatements and will not need to work in the road in the area any more!

I'm sure this is good news for all residents of Roker!

We will remain in the area for a little while longer but this work doesn't impact on traffic.

Have a nice weekend

HI Everyone

I have been on site today, trying to notify residents of our next stage of work. On Monday 27 November 2017 we will return to Ashdale Court. We will need to work under three way lights at the junction with Roker Baths Road. We expect the work to be completed within two weeks.

Once again, we thank you for your patience and understanding and apologise for any inconvenience caused. We don't have much work to do before we finish now, in fact this is the last bit of work along Roker Baths Road, so we will soon be off Roker Baths Road completely!

Please find a copy of the letter delivered to affected residents here.

Good News!!

As you may have noticed, as well as Midfield Drive, we finished the premanent reinstatements on the sea front as well! I've attached a couple of photos of it.

We're nearing the end of the scheme now, finishing off in St Peters and Roker, so not too long before we're off!
