Good morning - as I mentioned in the last update we will be working at Ramshaw starting this week doing some test drilling. We will also be transporting a quantity of stone onto the site so you will notice an increase in traffic with lorries coming up the lane and onto the site, hopefully this will not cause to much of a problem but if it does please let us know

Hello everyone

We are carrying out some test digging at site, currently we are at Butterknowle and we will be moving over to Ramshaw in the next couple of weeks so you may notice some activity at site. We shouldnt cause any disturbance and there will be no effect on service. Thank you, Brian

*New Press Release*

Our Ref: River Gaunless ST017/0108

7th May 2018

Dear Customer

We’re planning some work in your area

You may recall us sending you a letter in September 2017 to inform you of our decision to upgrade Ramshaw, Butterknowle and Cockfield sewage treatment works.

We are planning to invest up to £9 million to upgrade various assets and processes at these sites. This will ensure that our treatment meets the latest regulations and returns water into the environment at the highest standard possible.

We plan to begin this scheme in January 2019 and expect it will take up to 12 months to complete. Our partner, Interserve Construction Limited, will be carrying out this work on our behalf. Plans for the works and regular updates once the works commence will be available on our community portal at www.nwlcommunityportal.co.uk.

We really want to understand your views about this essential work and how we can minimise any disruption you and your community may experience. We would like to invite you to attend a customer information drop-in session between 4:30pm and 7:00pm on Thursday 24th May at Ramshaw Primary School.

Please find enclosed a leaflet which gives further information, advice and answers to some frequently asked questions.

You can telephone our Customer Contact centre on 0345 717 1100, tweet us @nwater_care or visit our community portal at www.nwlcommunityportal.co.uk. Whichever way is best, we’d really like to hear from you.

Morning All.

My name is Amanda Hunt Customers Care Manager at Northumbrian Water and part of the project team for the upcoming work.

Thanks for the update Dean and just on the back of this I can confirm we will be sending invite letters to all customers we have wrote to previously. These will be posted a bit closer to the customer event to ensure that we capture all customers and those who may not be in a position to follow this project. I am hoping to be at the drop in session and look forward to meeting some of the residents and gaining some local knowledge.

In the meantime have a great holiday weekend and I look forward to meeting those of you who can make it very soon.
